Stooq quote server

I've maybe already suggested this free quote source in the past.

Stooq is a Poland based company and a financial portal. The website is in Polish but partially translated in English. It looks from the 90s, but the charts and data are up to date and are of good quality as far as I can tell. The site has existed for years (it seems the company exists since 2000). Stooq has a mobile app too.

The "Quotes" button at the top left of the home page gives access to the different quote types. The choice is quite huge (many many stocks, currencies, crypto, etc...) with deep historical data.

And they have quotes not available in other sources, on commodities, bonds (data about yields), PMI Manufacturing and CPI Inflation.

The entire database of quotes can even be downloaded: https://stooq.com/db/h/

This would be great if it could be added in FM, it could be a main or backup source for quotes.

FI, read here: "Limitation: Stooq noticed to have a pretty low daily quota for requests, returning "Exceeded the daily hits limit" instead of data. Consider to use the service wisely"

Thanks for the idea. It does look like a great quote server. We'll plan to add this into the next major release for both current and historical quotes.

Many thanks for having added the Stooq quote server! This is a great server!
IMO the FM page on available quote servers should mention too that this server can retrieve currencies and cryptocurrencies, because it is by far the best server available for that, their list is huge! (in fact it seems like they have them all!).

A tip for those who might be interested: Economic indicators can be retrieved with this server, like PMI Manufacturing, CPI Inflation, unemployment rate, trade balance, and many more!
Go to their economic calendar, each economic data has a ticker and can be retrieved!
