Switching to Tiingo quote servers

Comments, critical feedback, praise, or suggestions for new features.

I'm very thrilled that Fund Manager now supports Tiingo servers! After setting Tiingo as the default for quotes and historical prices, it was a little tricky to get the various Retrieve dialogs to actually switch from the old default settings to the new. What worked is to open the Internet Retrieve Settings dialog, select "New Investment Defaults...", then click on "Apply Settings to Existing Investments..." after making any needed changes to the quote servers displayed.

Tiingo is beta-testing detailed quotes for distributions. I hope Fund Manager adds support for retrieving dividends, like it has for Yahoo Historical.

Hi LynneB,

Thanks for sharing your learnings/experience. What can sometimes happen is if your investments aren't assigned to the "Default" quote server, changing the default under "Options / Internet Settings..." won't make a difference on such investments. You can either change these properties under "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve" on a per-investment basis, or you can use the method you described to change these properties for all investments of a given investment type (Stock, Fund, Bond, etc...).

I suspect we will investigate utilizing other capabilities of Tiingo in the future...
Thanks,
Mark
