Portfolio Editor: reaching an investment with keyboard

Comments, critical feedback, praise, or suggestions for new features.

Hi Mark,

In the right part of the Portfolio Editor, it is handy to type with the keyboard the first letter(s) of the investment we want to reach. But this is only possible if the "Name" column is on the first position (far left). That is not my choice... An option to keep this possibility even when the Name column is placed differently would be nice.

Thanks.

Hi Djobydjoba,

Okay, thanks for the idea/feedback.

Just, FYI. This isn't a feature we built. It is part of the standard List view control, report style, that we're using. It is a component of Windows. I'm sure we can override it, but the selection of an investment by typing was a free feature with the use of this List control...
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the info, Mark. Yes, I am aware it is a standard feature with list controls. My first column is "% of Portfolio", my second is "Type' investment, and "Name" only comes in 3rd place. I think an option to override the standard behavior to aim specifically the "Name" column would be useful and, I guess, not only for me.
