New investment for multiple accounts

Comments, critical feedback, praise, or suggestions for new features.

I have over 10 sub-portfolios. Often I invest in the same security in more than one portfolio. I have not found a way to set up a new investment once and have it inserted as separate .dat records in multiple portfolios or set it up in one portfolio and replicate it in others. If this feature does not already lurk somewhere in the FM code, it would be a nice addition.

Hi rftanner,

It isn't in there today... You need to create a new investment for each account holding the same security. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks,
Mark

One straight-forward way to have FM do this is to allow the selection of multiple portfolios/sub-portfolios on the Create Investment screen. Using the CTRL key while selecting all portfolios that should have that investment would then create multiple .dat records. ('')
