Company Renamed and Shares Halved

One of my companies has been renamed and the number of shares halved. It has a significant OPP cost; and the market price is way, way, way down. How do I go about entering this transaction? I tried using the transfer in and transfer out with no satisfaction but that may be due to my inexperience.

To record this, record a 1 for 2 split, and then change the name of the investment under "Investment Properties...".
