I didn't follow this. Creating a new investment does not record any dividends. How are you recording dividends? Maybe you're retrieving from Yahoo (Historical) with the option on to retrieve dividends?

Thanks for trying Mark! I completely ignored bookkeeping/accounting principles of right/left.
My bad brain fart moment (could be the title of a book)...I was looking at the Cash side only...which is on the other side of the ledger for when FM records the Divy properly under the stock itself. For those getting confused, when FM records the Dividend for a stock, it shows up in the Data Register as a Dividend under the stock itself...THEN it shows up in Cash as a Purchase of dollars. Why was I questioning the software?!?! Thanks, TK
