Hi clay c,
Just use "File / Save Portfolio As..." and assign the filename of your new portfolio file (*.mm4).
I figured it out. If you do a "save as" it will put the new portfolio as a sub-portfolio of the currently opened portfolio. What I wanted to do was make a new master portfolio, so I had to close out of all other portfolios then go thru the new portfolio wizard. Thank you.
Also, do you know why all of a sudden the program downloads incorrect prices for specific names? I have held Goldman Sachs (GS) in numerous portfolios for a long time, and it recently was downloading the price at $25 and change in all portfolios and I had to manually change it. It had been downloading correct prices for many years before and all of a sudden was downloading a grossly inaccurate price. Thanks.
Hi clay c,
Glad you got it working for you. When you do a "File / Save Portfolio As..." it saves your current sub-portfolios to a new *.mm4 file. If you want to start with just an empty top level sub-portfolio, you can close everything. I just test retrieved GS from Yahoo, and it correctly retrieved for about 190. What quote server are you using? You might check your internet retrieve settings, and also maybe your currency assignment, in case you're accidentally viewing it in a different currency than expected. See "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve".
