Passord protecting portfolios

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I would like to know how to password protect portfolio.

Hi Alex,

You can password protect your data by going to "Options / General Preferences... / Data" and turn on "Password Protect Data" and enter your desired password.

Mark are the Backup data also Password protected??

Hi nebfinfm,

Yes, they are. The password protection is stored at the data file level (*.dat and *.mm4). When restoring, the password protected data files are restored back to the specified location, but they can't be opened without entering the password.
