Copying assets to a new device

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby rodiy2k » Fri Feb 20, 2015 5:29 pm

Hello
We are moving overseas and not taking the PC where my software is installed. Can I copy my existing assets and portfolios onto an Apple IPad2? If so, can you please send me a link with instructions? I have 15 years worth of activity so it's kind of critical.
Thanks

Hi rodiy2k,

Sorry, no. Fund Manager is only available as a Windows program, it won't run on an iPad.
Thanks,
Mark

That is highly unfortunate and ridiculously outdated since millions of people on the globe prefer Apple products. After 15 years I am forced to waste money on a new windows device for the sake of one program? that is insane so I guess it's good bye to teh only program that's worked well for me since the 1990's.

I do not understand how Beiley would not want to expand after almost 20 years?

Hi Mark
Where can I find my license key # to enter into the copied version of FM? I know my serial # because it comes up in the "about" screen. I wish to save the licensed copy on the new PC
Thanks

Hi rodiy2k,

If you don't have the original license key email, you can retrieve it on our website. Go to the FAQ page, and under the "Licensing" section, the #1 item is a link to where you can retrieve your license. Start here:

https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/faq.html

You just need to enter your email address you used when purchasing, and the license will be re-sent.
Thanks,
Mark
