How to record bond with nominal value other than 1000?

Im interested in buying bonds VHV Helicopters ISIN US12545DAB47 with original nominal / face value 1000 / 9.25%. Sometimes prior the purchase the bondisssuer partially repaid the bond, so the current nominal = 900. The broker’s avizo says:

Price: 93.9 - Yield 10.712638 - Settlement 02/24/15 * Principal Factor =0.9.

Mark please help how to record this transaction.
Incidentlally I come accross similar problem with several times. Either the bond have face value higher (for example 20000 or lower due, usually to partial repayment ). Can you suggest standard method how those transactions record in FM.

Hi Nebfinfm,

Fund Manager doesn't support a "principal factor". The market value is the price times the shares. For determining estimated coupon payments FM assumes the Face Value is 100 times the number of shares. If calculating these estimated coupon payments is important, I would suggest recording that you own 1/100th the face value for your shares.

The only source of bond quotes is the Finra quote server:

If that server doesn't have your quote, then you can get an updated quote by retrieving transactions from your broker. Closing prices are updated from the transaction retrieve feature, even if you don't have any new transactions.
