EE Savings bonds

I've searched using 'Bonds', EE Bonds and Savings Bonds and can find no help regarding creating a portfolio of US Savings Bonds series EE. I opened the new investment with bond choice but it means nothing to me. I don't know what a Cusip or ISIN is. My bonds only have a serial number. I have never had a broker. I don't know what a coupon rate is. All I know is I have 180 $200 series EE bonds dating back to 9/93. How can I create a list of these bonds in FM? I can get the current value of each using Treasury Direct and realize I probably will have to manually update the list.
Hi RiderJohn,
I'm not too familiar with these types of bonds. I assume they are worth $200 each at some future date and don't pay you periodic interest before that? You could record these as any type of investment, like bond or cash, or other, it really doesn't matter. If you choose bond, set their maturity date to the date they become worth $200, and put the coupon rate at 0% assuming they don't pay periodic interest. For the share quantity you would pick 180. For the daily price, I'm assuming they are quoted at a price slightly less than their final worth of $200, so you would periodically update the closing price to have FM reflect their current value. You can leave the Symbol and CUSIP blank. If you're manually updating the price, turn off "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve / Retrieve Price" to avoid having FM attempt to retrieve a price for them.
You've given me enough to find a workaround I think. They are worth 200 in the future with no incremental interest payments. I don't think entering share quantity 180 will work because each of the 180 bonds was purchased separately over 16 years through payroll deduction. I need a list of each separately in order to be able to update the values of each at least once a
year. I'll look at the 'other' feature sometime tonight. I appreciate your fast responses. I haven't bought yet but I've entered over a thousand dividend stock and mutual fund reinvestments and I love that I can record exactly what I see on my statements to six decimal points plus auto value updates. I'll be buying after the first of April when I get my next retirement deposit.
