Which server to retrieve historical bond prices?

I can see the historical chart at http://www.boerse-berlin.com/ but cannot extract out the historical prices

and for the portfolio editor screen, how to show the accrued interest in a column?

Hi marathon,

Sorry, but I don't believe any of our supported servers offer historical bond quotes, only current...

You can't get the accrued interest in the Portfolio Editor. We can consider making this available there, but it isn't currently. You would need to create a report, such as a Custom report with the desired field, like "Accrued Interest (ending)" for example.
Thanks,
Mark

I found this server that has multi year historical price data:

http://www.quotenet.com/

Can support for this server be added?

The raw data needs to be scrubbed a bit and "eyeballed" but the chance to get data in table format is "priceless" ;-)

There has to be better sources since many websites can show a interactive graph of historical prices, so if really desperate, can move the mouse and manually copy out prices. If only there was a way to tap onto the same datafeed as the interactive charts...

Another thought:

Are there any "paid" or "subscription" data services that work with FM?

Hi marathon,

I couldn't see where there were historical bond prices listed in a table format on that site? I saw the graphical chart, but no table? Were you able to find the data in a text format somewhere?

You may be able to find a paid service to provide historical bond prices. I am not familiar with such sources to recommend any though. You can import prices into Fund Manager using "File / Import / Prices / Generic...".
Thanks,
Mark

HI marathon,

I see it now, thanks. Yes, that does look like a good option for historical bond quotes. We will see about adding it.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I would also be interested in making this server available in FM, so I can get more historical bond quotes. Now I use Boerse Stuttgart, but I only get quotes of a few days.

Hi Silvan,

Okay, it does look like it would be a good server to add...

Hi Silvan,

We took a good look at this server today. Unfortunately, it will require a fair amount of work in order to implement this as a server for Fund Manager. This server requires multiple requests in order to get the data, and Fund Manager isn't currently structured to handle this. It is of course possible, but would require significant changes.
Thanks,
Mark
