automating transaction importing

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby scottsmallwood » Wed Jul 15, 2015 11:30 am

I am new to fund manager. I have a trading strategy that produces a large list of trades each day. I would like to import those trades into fund manager either once or day or even better during the day. I can do it manually but I was wondering if there is a way to automate the process. Does fund manager have a command line interface that I could use or is there a scheduled task feature?

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,

There are some command line arguments, but none for importing transactions (just updating prices). You would have to manually go into "File / Import / Transactions" and do the import... We can consider adding this as a command line option in a future version.
Thanks,
Mark

That would be great. What I would really like to do is update my portfolio every 15 minutes and that is not really feasible manually. Thanks.
