Not Updating Price Correctly (Yahoo)

PRC and right click > Retrieve Selected Price do not update price; right click > Retrieve Selected Historical Price does retrieve price.

Are you still having troubles retrieving prices, or are things working okay now?

Problem persists ... just as I have described it here. Widespread, affecting many or even most of the quotes I am getting from Yahoo.

I'm leaning toward it being a problem at Yahoo's end. Something about the different ways they make available their prices - current (closing, FM:"Retrieve Selected Price"), and Historical (FM:"Retrieve Selected Historical Price"). Or is it the way FM retrieves these prices (or, alternatively, could FM be modified somehow?).

It is very problematic. And it would be good to know what is going on.

I have tried to report the issue to Yahoo but the only way I have found to do this seems convoluted - ridiculously so - and there seems little reason to hope that Yahoo would get the message. Of course they never respond.

Perhaps you folks know of a way to get Yahoo's attention?

Yahoo started having problems today with some of their servers, but not all. It seems to depend on which Yahoo server you get connected with. You might just temporarily try using a different server. See:

The problem has been ongoing for months. I just haven't recently gotten around to reporting it again.

However, I noted the problem to be particularly bad today. Many more of the investments would not update properly. Almost all of them, as opposed to the usual handful (of the approximately 150 investments for which I use Yahoo). Almost all of them would, however, update when using FM: Retrieve Historical Price. This suggests the ongoing problem might indeed be linked to today's issue that you report.

But it also suggests that Yahoo has the prices, but doesn't place them in the right place initially. Later in the day, it seems, the prices somehow are in the place where FM is expecting them when doing a "Retrieve Selected Price".
