Hi:
I want to take my FM portfolio on the road (use it on my laptop while I'm away, but want only one copy of my data. Could I move my portfolio data to a Dropbox type folder so that it would be accessible from both my desktop and laptop? If so, what directory should I move and how should I configure FM?
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,

Yes, you can store your data wherever you have access to, including a Dropbox drive. You'd need to have the Dropbox app installed on each PC, so you can access the Dropbox drive from within Fund Manager. You can change your data location using "File / File Operations / Set Data Location...".

If you also want to keep the same preferences (memorized reports, etc...) you can enable "portable" mode, and run Fund Manager from the dropbox drive also. For more on setting this up, see:

Thanks,
Mark
