Is there any way to exclude an investment in a portfolio from performance calculations?

Hi paulk,

You can do this a couple of ways:

1) Run a report, and filter by symbol, and exclude the symbol of the investment in question. This excludes all investments with the same symbol, but if you only have one investment with this symbol, then it will work.

2) Move the investment to a different level in the sub-portfolio hierarchy, so you can report without that investment. Example:

- Account 1
<investment in question>
- Sub2
<all other investments>

You could then report on "Sub2".
Thanks,
Mark

Is there a way I could then exclude that portfolio on the Executive Summary report?

Hi paulk,

You would have to organize your sub-portfolio hierarchy in a way such that the sub-portfolio you don't want to include is not under the sub-portfolio you select for the report. For example:

Code: Select all
- Master
  - Main
    - Acct 1
    - Acct 2
  - Sub to Exclude

If you run the report at the "Main" level, it will not include "Sub to Exclude".
Thanks,
Mark
