Overlaying benchmarks

Hi Mark,

Is the option to overlay a benchmark on a graph (i.e. value) only available for the Professional and Advisor versions? Does it have to be a standard benchmark or can the user provide their own benchmark? For the latter I am thinking of loading a security that I have (i.e. I blended two indexes at a proportion I believe is an appropriate benchmark) to overlay.

Hi Jason,

You can overlay benchmarks in any version. It is not a feature available in all graph types. See these 2 sets of graphs:

Portfolio/Investment(s) Overlay
Investment Overlay

To choose the item(s) to overlay, right mouse click on one of these graph types and choose "Graph Options / Overlaid Investments..." or "Overlaid Portfolios".

You can overlay any investment/portfolio you have, so anything you create you can use.

Is it possible to filter the graphs by Investment Goal? If I add the investments individually they will not aggregate against the benchmark I want to overlay. These investments are spread across multiple investment accounts that are setup as sub-portfolios in the portfolio editor.
