Peer to Peer (Pooled) Investments

Mark I need some suggestions on how it is best to enter notes (loans) that I am vested in via P2P lending network.
I subscribe to a portion of a third party loan and am paid interest less the pool fee (1.5%).
Frequency of interest repayment is monthly.

Your suggestions are appreciated.
thanks
Terry

Hi Terry,

It sounds like you might want to treat this like cash. If you make a $10,000 loan, but 10,000 shares at a price of $1/share. When you receive interest, record an interest type distribution. If you get back some of your principal, record a sell for that amount. The pool fee would be a negative distribution of type account fee. So, each month, you may have 3 transactions, interest, fee, and sell.
Thanks,
Mark
