A quick thank you for this powerful feature. I did not notice it when I first looked though the message board and help file when setting up FM. It provides a way to organize accounts and evaluate data in a more insightful way than using Investment Goal alone. The youtube video referenced in the help file was very valuable. The only advice I would offer is to some how better highlight this for portfolio setup since it can drive a lot of powerful analysis. A note of caution to forum members to watch the video referenced in help. If one is not careful in separating the accounts from the linked portfolios, assets could be accidentally double counted in graphs and reports.

Great, thanks for the feedback. Yes, it is a powerful/useful feature in that it allows you to group your accounts in a variety of different ways without duplicating data.

Hi,

Currently the name of a linked portfolio is identical to the source portfolio, and can't be renamed. I would be great if the linked portfolios could be renamed, because that's the point of linked portfolios to organize in a different way the folders tree.

A basic example of the usefulness :

- Account A
-- Stocks
-- Bonds
- Account B
-- Stocks
-- Bonds

-Stocks
-- Account A (linked to Account A\Stocks, but renamed)
-- Account B (linked to Account B\Stocks, but renamed)
-Bonds
-- Account A (linked to Account A\Bonds, but renamed)
-- Account B (linked to Account B\Bonds, but renamed)
