New server to replace Yahoo

We have just added "CNN Money" as a good replacement for the old Yahoo server. See this announcement.

Hi Mark,

this new default server might work fine for the US stock market, but not Europe. I could not find any useful UK stock market quotes on CNN money. Google uses different Symbols from Yahoo. Is there an easy way to change symbols for stocks or would one have to change each individual stock symbol through investment/properties etc - and back, if Google does not work as expected.

Hi Matt,

We're still working on possibly restoring Yahoo to the original speed. You might hold off changing your symbols. If you do change to a new quote server that uses different symbols, you have to do it under "Investment Properties..." for each investment. There is not really any shortcut to this. The only shortcut is in the Advisor version you can do it on a per-symbol basis, instead of a per-investment basis. This really only helps when you have multiple investments using the same symbol.

Quote module 525 restores the Yahoo server has been restored to being very fast. This update is available for both FM 2016 and FM 2018 by selecting "Help / Fund Manager on the Web / Check for Updates...".
