Retrieving Historical Prices

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Mark, I am trying to retrieve historical prices on a new investment. I have set the investment up, highlighted it, right clicked and selected "Retrieve Historical Prices" but I am not getting a pop up window allowing me to enter the dates. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Hi ricbertsch,

Your "historical" quote server is not set to a historical quote server for this investment. Look at "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve", and see what is set for "Historical Quote Server". If it is set to <Default Server> then go check under "Options / Internet Settings..." to make sure your global historical quote server is set to a historical server.

Richard I had the same issue a while back, and am just getting around to investigating the cause. I had my historical update server set to Google Mutual Funds (historical). Now it is set to nothing, and there is no longer a choice to select a Google server. Perhaps this functionality was deleted in a recent update?

Ron, I was not using Google. I followed Mark's instructions in the previous post and it has been working since.

My choices don't look so good. I'm now back trying to find a server that provides historical prices for Canadian mutual funds and ETF's, now that Google is no longer a choice...
