Yahoo Historical Quote server asking for Username & PW

Hi:
The Yahoo Historical Quote server did not work and opened a window asking for Username & Password. This has never happened to me before. Has something changed with the quote server or do I need to set up a Username and Password there? Is this still the best historical quote server to use in the US?

Hi Scott,

The image doesn't show here. I just tested Yahoo (Historical), and it is working okay here with no password prompt. You don't need to enter a password to retrieve, I'm not sure where that password prompt is coming from...

Thanks for the reply. I am still getting the request for a password. I think I've figured out how to attach screen shots.
Maybe that will clarify. When I check the server's status, it looks good.

Hi Scott,

Can you check that you have cookies enabled in IE. See the instructions here:

Also, can you browse to Yahoo's site with IE and look up your quotes and historical data okay?
