Fund Manager 2020.16.5 release not retrieve all prices

Hello Mark

I updated from 2020.16.4 to newest version 2020.16.5 and the newer program is not retrieving updated prices from the SET Thailand Stock or Yahoo for the Thai SET.

I am rolling back to the older version to determine if it the new update or the quote module.

Please advise if you have a solution for retrieval of Asian price data.
Note: the FX that I have did update but no price data.

Rolled back to 2020.16.5.4 but not sure how to roll back the quote module.

With the older version of FM and the newer quote (549) & transaction (239) I am not able get updated price data that was working previously.

Please advise.

Can you give me an example symbol/server combination that won't update, and that you can view online with your web browser? (Did you check that this symbol is showing okay on the quote server's website?)

None of the SET Thailand symbols will now update since new module and FM version
last price date was Dec 4 2020

With FM2020.16.4.00
SYMBOL DEFAULT SERVER LAST PRICE UPDATE
ADVANC.BK Yahoo Dec 4/2020 ok
AIT.BK Yahoo Dec 4/2020 ok
BBL.BK Yahoo Dec 4/2020 ok
... etc ... ALL OK AS OF Dec 4

On Sunday Dec 6th/20 Updated to FM2020.16.5.100 & "new quote module"

- Now will NOT update prices for any of the above with yahoo or SET
- changed several symbols to test with THAILAND STOCK EXCHANGE (SET)

Like I said - rolled back to 2020.16.4 but with new quote module and today will not retrieve pricing information.
Note:
The prefix for yahoo Thailand SET is ".BK"
The symbols for SET Thailand drop the prefix.
I generally use yahoo as default as it will also provide historical data - SET only give 30 days.

Hi Terry,

I just retrieved the first example you gave, and FM properly retrieved the price for Dec 4. If you look on Yahoo, the last price they are currently reporting for this symbol is Dec 4.

Hello Somsak,

Add your new Thailand (SET) investment in the Sub-portfolio of your choice.
Ensure to check the symbol on yahoo and when adding to FM add {Yahoo_Symbol}.BK in the Symbol field. I.E. SCC.BK or BBL.BK
... other settings and currency you will know -> save or apply the changes to the investment.

Now right click the investment and select Properties from the drop down box.
Select the Internet Retrieve tab and change the historical quote server: to Yahoo (Historical)
leave the "daily" quote server: to yahoo or default if default = yahoo
Apply the changes and hit "OK"

You can now select the Thailand Stock (left click once)
-> right click and select "Retrieve Selected Historical Prices" and you will be asked for a date range.
Enter your from date and hit "ok"

Hello Terry,

Thank you very much for your advises. Normally I update historical price once a week and last time was update till Dec,18. However, this week it can not update for range 21-25 Dec. I also use web browser ( Chrome, IE or Safari on Iphone) to look on some stock code ( bbl.bk) in finance.yahoo.com, but it show " can't reach this page". So, at this time I am not sure what the exactly problem. If you have more ideas , don't hesitate to let me know.

Hi Somsak,

I test retrieved bbl.bk from both Yahoo and Yahoo (Historical) and they both retrieved properly using the current version of FM. I also verified I can view the quotes with my browser. If you can't view this quote at:

https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/BBL.BK/history?p=BBL.BK

then, maybe there is some issue with your connection to Yahoo. If you can view that page okay, then you should be able to retrieve prices with the current version of FM.
