I did that and I'm still seeing closed positions in the Portfolio Performance

Check the following:

1) For the closed position, is the "Hidden" attribute checked?
2) Is the "View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios" menu item turned off?
3) For reports, if you have on the option "Options / Report Preferences... / General / Display Hidden Investments with Activity" and you're running the report over a time period where that closed position had any transactions, it will be displayed. You can either turn off this option, or adjust the date range of your report.

I found the error in counting imported transactions.

One of the years was:

20017

Hard to spot.

Glad you found it. We will try to add a logging option for this in the future... It is available now in the Advisor versions for institutional imports, but it would be good to extend to the generic import.

For reports, if you have on the option "Options / Report Preferences

I'm not seeing "Report Preferences" in the Options menu.

You have to be in a Report window to see this menu command.
