Investments with a $1 share price updated incorrectly

It appears the CUSIP value (UNIQUEID) is being reported as blank. Could you email me the raw transaction retrieve log file, as an attachment? You can either send it by email, or attach it to a private message here. I'll take a look...

Hi Tudor,

There are 2 log files for transaction retrieve, the "raw" and "parsed" versions. You're showing me the "parsed" version, but I'd like to see the original "raw" version. See "Help / Logs / Transaction Retrieve (Raw)...". Could you "email" that to me as an attachment, or send it as an attachment in a private message on this forum?

Hi Tudor,

Thank you. Indeed your broker is reporting a price for a blank CUSIP, thus FM is updating all investments with a blank CUSIP with this price. I've not run into this before. I test retrieved an account from this same broker, and all the CUSIPs were filled in correctly, so I'm not sure what is happening in your specific case. To address this we'll prevent a blank CUSIP from updating anything in a future update.

For now though, a work-around is to turn off:

"Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve / Update Price When Retrieving Transactions"

for all investments with a blank CUSIP. To help find all these, create a Custom report with:

Sub-Portfolio: your top level sub-portfolio (probably "Master Portfolio")
Subtotal By: off
List By: investment
With the 2 fields:

CUSIP
Update price when retrieving transactions

and then sort the report (top level "Sort" menu) by CUSIP, so all your blank CUSIP investments are at the top of the report. Make sure all these investments with a blank CUSIP have "No" in the "TRN Updts price" column. If not, right mouse click on the report line and choose "Investment Properties..." to turn it off.
