Custom Investment Properties: Hyperlink

Hello Mark,

Would it be possible to add a hyperlink to the 'Type' field on the Custom Investment Properties dialog box?

Personally, I would find it helpful to be able to include the URL of an investment website in a custom field on the 'Custom' page of the Investment Properties form. One click and you're home!!

With the ability to activate the hyperlink from the Portfolio Editor or a custom report that would be great.

Many thanks for including this suggestion in the recent version of FM.

However, any web address I insert longer than 25 characters gets truncated. Is there an option to increase the length of the text string or is it currently fixed?

Hi Matt,

It is currently fixed at 25. This is something we can improve on in the future, but it will require a change of investment file format, so it isn't a trivial change. There are free URL shortening services you might want to consider for now. I realize it isn't ideal, but it is an option for now. For example, the service: https://tinyurl.com/app
