Yahoo server not working?

Hi Andrea,

We're aware of the problem, and hope to have a solution soon. I'll post here when it is available, and you can always check the status under "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates...".

The current status is all of the daily Yahoo servers aren't working for customers in Europe. The Yahoo (Alternate) and (Historical) servers are still working, and can be used until we have a fix for the regular Yahoo servers.

The quote module has been updated. Version 580 is available by selecting "Help / Fund Manager on the Web / Check for Updates..." from within Fund Manager 2022 or 2020. This update fixes the Yahoo quote servers.

retrieving prices from Yahoo seems not work now, anyone else encountered same problem?

Hi scottlang21,

Yahoo appears to be working properly when I'm testing it now with quote module 580. If you're still having troubles, can you let me know what quote module you're using (see "Help / About...") and an example ticker symbol that won't update, or just attach your price retrieve log (Help / Logs / Price Retrieve...).

Hi, Mark

presently, I use module 580, but I couldn't retrieve anything from yahoo from today. as I'm in China, I have to use vpn to retrieve data through Singapore. Could you please check, thank you!

Hi scottlang21,

Interesting, I see the same issue when connecting from China. However, the prior quote module (579) still works from China (but not Europe). If you'd like to switch back to the 579 version, so you don't have to use a VPN, you can do so by downloading it with a web browser from here:

https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/pro ... 4x_579.dll

After you download it, go into the "Properties...", and "Unblock" it. Place it in the same folder as your Fund Manager (FM.exe) and rename it to just inteng14x.dll. You'll have to rename or delete the current file in that folder first. Once you have this file in place, verify under "Help / About..." that you have quote module 579, and then you should be good to retrieve prices, as long as you're not in Europe.

Thanks for sorting this with 580, which was working perfectly up until and including yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately it's no longer working for me this morning (in Germany).
