Baby Bonds

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby AssetHound » Thu Jan 21, 2021 4:50 pm

I buy baby bonds which are exchange traded bonds with typically a $25 face value. I see the help screens say to enter bond transaction(s) at 1/100 of the price and shares purchased. It's not clear to me, however, how to record baby bond purchase and interest payment transactions so that my reports show the correct total values.

Yahoo does retrieve prices correctly without the 1/100 conversion. ECCX is an example ticker.

Thanks for any help.

Hi AssetHound,

You can track them like a regular investment, but you can't use the bond features unless the face value is $100. This isn't adjustable currently.
Thanks,
Mark

hello, I would like to adjust for baby bonds too. Right now I treat them as bonds but turn off internet retrieve so that the price does not adjust back to $25 a share. I get the interest updated -- just not the price.
