I had some troubles viewing that GIF

Strange. No problem for me, tested on several devices

I suspect it has something to do with the number of investments.

Some more info:
For some reason, I always rearrange investment order with "Show Investments from All Portfolios" checked and with hidden investments displayed.

The bug will always end to occur, but more or less quickly. It really depends on the distance of the movements done in the list. If I drag investments for a long distance in the list, I will be able to move only a few investment (6-8) before the program hangs. If the movements in the list are of short distance, I will be able move much more investments, but at some point it will end to hang too.
And clicking OK to close the dialog and reopen it, with the idea to reset the "movement counter" doesn't work. The program "remembers" the movements already done, so you couldn't do more with this trick. Only a restart of the program resets the "movement counter".

1) If you look at the properties of your topmost sub-portfolio, how many open investments do you have?

2160 (1430 unique), 53 sub-portfolios

2) if you select the top investment, and hold down Alt+D to move it down rapidly, does the problem happen?

I wasn't aware of this possibility, good to know.

Thanks for the additional info/help. BTW, I was able to download that GIF fine today. It sounds like this issue is somehow related to the drag/drop feature in that dialog. We'll have to investigate.

Hi Djobydjoba,

I still haven't been able to reproduce or track this bug down yet. I thought it was related to the number of investments, but I've created a test with more investments than you have, and haven't been able to reproduce it. Maybe there is some other factor I'm not considering. What version of Windows are you using?

Thanks for the test portfolio/help. I was able to reproduce it, and have implemented a fix for this. It will be included in the next official release. If you'd like a pre-release to try out ahead of time, just let me know.
