Hi Mark,
I enter distributions into FM manually. I like the new "Paste Special - Today" feature but I have a suggestion that would be even more useful to me.
I don't always enter transactions on the same date as they were actually posted to my account. With the manual entry approach, once I've created the first transaction (and entered the date for that transaction), I notice that subsequent manual transaction windows default to that same date.
It would be great if you could add a "Paste at date..." option that would work in the same way. Bring up a window allowing you to set the dates "Date Received" and "For Shares Owned" for the pasted transaction and then default to those dates on subsequent "Paste at date..." operations (i.e. a window to enter the dates would pop up every time you use this new menu option but the default dates would be the ones last entered. You'd just have to press OK instead of manually editing the newly created transaction.).
Alternatively, if it would be easier, provide a "Paste at last used date" option that wouldn't allow you to enter the dates but would just use the dates entered during the last manual transaction entry. Then I would have to do one transaction manually (to set the dates), after which I could happily cut and paste away.
Thanks!
