FM seems to be slow

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I believe that FM has been the best investment management software I have ever used. I've noticed recently that it seems to be running painfully slow. I did a fresh reinstall but that didn't seem to help. What do you suggest. What additional information should I provide to you. Thank you.

Hi LungDoc,

What operation are you doing when it is running slow? Is it retrieving prices? Refreshing the reports, or some window?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi LungDoc,

Try this:

1) Restart your PC
2) Start FM and close all the open windows. Under the top level "Window" menu, use "Close All Reports", "Close All Graphs", and "Close Portfolio Editor", so you just have a blank gray frame window, and no open windows.
3) Create a "Portfolio Value" report. Is this slow still?
Thanks,
Mark

FM back to its usual quick speed after I removed Dropbox. Thanks again all your help as usual. The new quote module is good
