Fill in missing historical prices

What is the best way to fill in missing historical prices across all your investments/portfolios? I recall there is a way to do this other than choosing "earliest transaction to date" which would get prices for all investments back to that date regardless of when they were purchased which I do not want to happen - but can't seem to find it. Thanks.

You can retrieve historical prices for whatever date range you're missing. Do you know the missing dates, or is that what you're trying to figure out?

I don't know all the missing price dates. So I am looking to fill in all missing prices from "first transaction date.." forward for all investments. Thanks.

Hi Bsrr,

We don't have an automated way to do exactly this. When retrieving historical prices, you enter the dates to retrieve. To do what you're looking for, you'd need to retrieve each investment individually, and when prompted, enter the first transaction date as the starting date. To help with this, you can create a Custom report, listing by investment, with the field:

Investment inception date

For each investment, right mouse click on it in the report, and choose "Retrieve Selected Historical Prices" and when prompted, enter the inception date for the price retrieval start date.
