Consolidating 2 accounts in one portfolio

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby Stefan » Tue Jan 19, 2010 1:36 pm

I have 2 accounts at the same broker. In FM, I want to view them as a single portfolio.
However, when setting the transaction retrieval properties on this portfolio, I have to specify which one of these 2 accounts I want to use. I would like to specify both. Is there a solution to this, where I can specify multiple account numbers so the transactions from all these accounts are retrieved in a single portfolio?

Hi Stefan,

Create each account separately, and then move them into another sub-portfolio, like this:
Code: Select all
- Master Portfolio
    - Broker XYZ
       - Acct 1
       - Acct 2

When you retrieve transactions, retrieve at Master Portfolio, or Broker XYZ, and choose the option to retrieve all sub-portfolios as well.
Thanks,
Mark
