Hello, I just wanted to comment on the software, it's great. I'm a little slow in keeping up with the latest technology. I just buried my Win95 pc and Money 3.0. I was able to migrate the data into FundManager with a lot of massaging of the data by way of importing & exporting spreadsheets.

My old dictionary defines 'interpolate' as altering by puting in new words. Could you briefly explain how you interpolate data on reports ?

Suggestion.. My old Money program would display a small s next to share quanities if the quanity was impacted by a split. On the Data Register screen I think it would be helpful to see the s , rather than having to click on the 'data type' dropdown box to see if there were splits when a qty looks different than my faulty recollection of the original purchase.

Where does Yahoo make their nickle by providing price data for free ?

Keep up the good work.

Hi NewCastlePA,

Thanks for the compliment on FM. "Interpolation" in Fund Manager terms is using a price point that isn't explicitly recorded. For example, if you requested a price or needed to use a price for a yield calculation on 1/30, but you only had prices recorded on 1/29 and 1/31, Fund Manager can "interpolate" a price for you from the surrounding prices. Fund Manager has both "linear" and "step" interpolation options. "Step" is the default, and just means the price stays the same until a different closing price is recorded. In the above example, FM would use the price from 1/29 for 1/30 if you were using Step interpolation. See "Options / Yield Interpolation Range..." and press the "Help" button here for more information.

Thanks for the idea on an indicator for the split status. In case you hadn't seen it, there is an option under "View / Split Adjusted" that allows you to control whether shares/prices are displayed in their original amounts, or adjusted for any splits that have happened after.
Thanks,
Mark
