General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Is there a way to import investment income into Fund Manager? I like the feature of entering the dates of expected dividend payments, but I'm afraid of the amount of data entry required for each stock (assuming 4 payments per year) multiplied by the number of stocks.

Is there a better way?

Hi aviator,

If you are retrieving transactions from your broker, then these payments will be retrieved for you. You can also either import or manually enter transactions. Retrieving is the easiest though... See:

Hi Mark,

I don't think I expressed myself clearly.

What I'm looking for is a method to update an investments income information without having to enter it manually. Specifically, I'm referring to the dividend payment schedule (and the amounts) as well as bond interest payments.

I'm hoping there's an import function so I don't have to manually enter all this information by hand.

Thanks.

Hi aviator,

Sorry, I misunderstood... That information is not importable. It is also really not required, other than for creating an income schedule report.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

I found this post. Just checking....this information is still not importable?

Have a lot of investments that pay monthly income, so I just want to confirm I can't do it in excel and import.
Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Correct, the "Income" properties of your investments are not importable. Sounds like this would be a good thing to add...

In case you hadn't seen it, in the Advisor version, you can use "Edit / Symbol List..." to manually edit all these income properties on a per-symbol basis. If you have many clients with the same investments this makes it much faster than editing on per-investment basis.
Thanks,
Mark
