Hi Trollchik,

When retrieving prices, Fund Manager uses the recorded symbol in your investment to go out to the quote server you've selected, and retrieve the price. Therefore, you need to find a quote server that offers the quote you need, and determine what symbol that server uses. Once you know the symbol, enter it into the investment in Fund Manager. You can find links to all of our supported quote servers here:

http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/intrtv.html

Visit them with your web browser, and see if you can't look up the quote you need to figure out the symbol.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark

Is it possible that no one server doesn't contain the symbol that i have?

and the next: is it possible that FM iterate throught each server (not just default) and try to find a symbol?

Hi Trollchik,

Yes, it is possible that none of the quote servers offer the quote you need. The quote servers do cover the vast majority of investments, but if you have a small/unique investment, they may not have it.

Fund Manager doesn't have a feature where it scrolls through all the servers, you have to select the server you want to use. You can set a global "default" server under "Options / Internet Settings...". You can then also override on a per-investment basis the quote server to use, by going to "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve".
Thanks,
Mark

ok, as i programmist i don't know all this things in detail! i need integrate your program with our platform.

I understand about symbol! but we have data, which are not equity and it doesn't have a symbol. For example (FIXED_INCOME, FIXED_INCOME_HIGH_YIELD, CASH), how it should be reflected in FM?

Hi Trollchik,

For investments that you do not need to retrieve prices for, you can enter any symbol you want. In the "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve" just turn off the option to "Retrieve Price". For cash type investments you typically keep the share price fixed at 1. For bonds though, you can retrieve bond pricing from the Finra - Bonds quote server.
Thanks,
Mark
