Hi Mark,

I just have a couple now that I'm working on trying to figure this part of FM out.

1. Make an option for the logo to be a header for the report. My logo would work better as a header for the page. When I try to use the options given (left or right) it ends up covering up FM's header (i.e. "Executive Summary"). This option should shift the entire page down and keep FM's header, which I want.

2. Batch print options or even printing individual reports - add a .PDF format option.

Maybe? 10.7? Pretty please?

Thanks

EDIT:

3. On the pie charts, show allocations to the default cash position as an allocation to CASH.

Hi cheapsk8,

1) Understood, thanks for the feedback. Making the whole report push down, beneath the logo is probably something too big for a 10.7 release, but we have made some minor improvements in this area. Currently, the logo can overlap the FM text header if it is too wide. The logo is scaled vertically to fit, but it wasn't being scaled if it was too wide, so it could overlap FM's text header. This has been fixed for 10.7. It will now scale (proportionally) so that logo fits within the available report header height, and a given width percentage that you can assign. Hopefully we can add more flexibility going forward.

2) Install a .PDF printer driver, and then you can do this now. There are several programs out there that add a new printer driver, that goes straight to a PDF file, instead of a physical printer. For example, search for a product called PrimoPDF, they are a popular one.

3) This should already happen, as long as your default cash account is set to "Cash" investment type, and your pie chart is by investment type?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi cheapsk8,

Thunderbird does support MAPI (FM only needs "Simple MAPI"). You can read about it here, and how to turn it on/off. See these pages:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/MAPI_Support

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Default_mail_client

In particular, I think this is probably the key text from that 2nd link:

In Thunderbird, go to "Tools -> Options -> General" and select "Use Thunderbird as the default mail application". (In the Mozilla Suite, go to "Edit -> Preferences -> Mail & Newsgroups" and select "Use Mozilla Mail as the default mail application".) If that doesn't take effect right away, try restarting Thunderbird or even the computer once.

If that still doesn't work then another email client (such as Outlook or Windows Mail) is probably also configured to be the default email client. If you're running either Windows 2000 (SP3 or later) or Windows XP (SP1 or later) go to "Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults [on the left] -> Custom", and set "Mozilla Thunderbird" as your default e-mail application. If you're using Windows Vista go to "Start -> Default Programs -> Set Program Access and Computer Defaults" and set "Mozilla Thunderbird" as your default e-mail application.
Thanks,
Mark

Did you try the other items listed there, like rebooting your computer, and going into "Default Programs"?
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Re: No. 3 above, I went into Edit>>Symbol List and changed my default cash position "Asset Type" to a custom "Cash" at 100%. Nothing changed when I re-ran the report.

Re: The email, yes, I confirmed the Vista settings.

I'm sorry about all of the noobish issues.

EDIT: I will try rebooting now.

EDIT #2: I see the "type" setting now and have fixed that part. Refer to the apologies again above.
