bank transactions in ofx file

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Postby oscarhobson » Tue Aug 03, 2010 8:41 am

Hi Mark,

I'm wondering if I'm doing something outside the norm. I'm trying to import transactions from my bank via an ofx file, and Fund Manager doesn't seem to recognize the transactions. Looking at the ofx file and comparing it to one produced by Vanguard, it's clearly different, using different tags for the transactions and such. A sample of the ofx file (with account #, bank id, etc. changed) is below. Am I trying to fit a square peg in a round hole ?

Thanks, Oscar Hobson

Hi oscarhobson,

Fund Manager only supports importing "Investment" transactions, it doesn't support importing "Banking" transactions, which is how that file is formatted.
Thanks,
Mark
