Trade import through excel worksheet

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Mark,

I am using advisor version and have over 15 clients (subportfolios) created. I am currently trading international equities and there no direct import facility of trades, so I am manually entering trades.

Is it possible to generate 1 excel file for all subportfolios and upload the data. If so can you please share the format? Also in this upload if there in no investment created in the subportfolio but there is a trade, would the investment be created automatically or would I need to create investment myself.

Another question on custom report, I have created a custom report and would like to change the title of it from "Custom". I have tried a few things but just not able to change it.

Hi Harsh,

Yes, you can import all accounts from a single Excel file. You'll want to have one transaction per row, and include the account number and symbol on each row. You'll use the "Generic" transaction import. See "File / Import / Transactions / Generic..." and press the "Help..." button here for instructions and examples. You must save from Excel into either a comma delimited CSV or tab delimited text file.

You can change the report title by using "Edit / Report Settings...". You can adjust the title to anything you want.
Thanks,
Mark
