500 Investment Limit

Two questions regarding 500 investment limit per portfolio.

Can I have up to 500 investments in each sub portfolio, or, are the sub portfolio investment quantities summed to check for the 500 limit?

In counting to the 500 limit, does the program count all investments (open and closed), or just the open investments?

Carl, based on my experience with Fund Manager, the 500 limit applies to the entire portfolio, not just the subportfolios. At the highest level you can right click the portfolio name, click on properties, and the pop-up box will tell you how many investments are counted toward the limit.

And my understanding is that closed investments are excluded from the count, but hidden investments are included.
