Mark, it would be very helpful if the pricing source for an option could defaut to "Yahoo (Options)" when a new option is set up rather than having to remember to go back to Internet Retrieve and select that pricing source. Since this is the only source for option pricing, it should always be OK to use it.
The other thing that would help those of us that use options a lot is to pick up the bid and ask prices for the option when picking up the prices. If those could then be available as fields for display for report options it would really help since the price currently picked up is the LAST price and many options do not trade daily or sporatically duing a day. So, looking at the LAST price can be very misleading. In fact OptionsXpress, who I use, defaults to the bid for an open long position if there have been no trades or the bid is less and the ask equal to or less than the last trade that day.

Hi rftanner,
Thanks for the feedback. The next major release will default all options to use Yahoo (Options). You will be able to set the default quote server for each investment type, separately. Adding support for new bid/ask fields would be good, but as of now has not been implemented.

Thanks Mark. This will really help. When do you think this release will be available?

Hi rftanner,
There is no set release date yet. It will probably be fairly soon though.

Mark,
Only problem I have seen is that I cannot enter the entire option symbol on a new asset setup. On an option it truncates once 11 characters have been entered. An option requires 15 characters plus the ticker symbol.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the bug report. I see this problem too, and will get it fixed for the next release. It is a problem in that dialog, not a limitation of Fund Manager. The work-around is to create the investment with a shorter symbol, and then edit it in Investment Properties... afterwards. The symbol can be up to 49 characters long in Fund Manager.
