Retrieving from Vanguard.

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Hi Mark,

I'm having trouble retrieving transactions from Vanguard. When I make an attempt, I get the following error message:

Post HttpSendRequest
WinInlet error code: 12038
Message: The host name in the certificate is invalid or does not match.

Just before I attempted the download, I installed transaction retrieve module 145. I'm not sure if this is related to my problem or if this is a Vanguard issue.

I am getting the same error code when I try to receive transactions from Vanguard.

Mark and DGreenfield,

This appears to be a Vanguard issue. A Quicken forum had similar posts.

Fairly sure this has nothing to do with the latest transaction retrieve module.

Hi aviator and DGreenfield,

Thanks for the problem report and info. I've just checked it now, and it appears to be working correctly. It sounds like Vanguard had a temporary issue, and has fixed it. If you are still having troubles, please let me know.

Hi Mark,

All is well with Vanguard. I called their tech support this morning and they said they'd email me when the issue was resolved. I received their email about an hour ago and tested a transaction download in Fund Manager and Quicken. Both worked.
