Importing from MS Money

I've been looking for an alternative to MS Money for investments ever since they stopped their online support. I've tried a lot of different software but haven't found one that replaces what I did with Monday. I really like what I see with FM so far.

Need some help however. I can't seem to import a MS Money investment account. Is there a tutorial or write-up that walks through the necessary steps? When I try to import the the QIF file, no transactions show up, even though I know there are transactions in the file (can see them when I openit in notepad).

I searched the forums and the tutorial areas but did not see a step by step instructions. Perhaps I missed it.

We don't have a tutorial on how to export from MS Money, but once you have your QIF file, you can follow the tutorial for "Importing Historical Transactions" from the "Getting Started Tutorials" page here:

If you've tried the import, and don't see anything, here are a few possibilities:

1) Make sure you have exported an "Investment" account from MS Money.
2) Make sure all of the "Import Options" are turned on in the QIF import wizard. For example, you want the "Create New Investments as Needed" option turned on.
3) In the "Import into Fund Manager Portfolio" section of the QIF Import wizard, if you have "With Matching Sub-Portfolio Name as QIF Account" selected, make sure you also have a check mark next to "Create New Sub-Portfolios as Needed Under:" checked.
