Report Dialogue Cannot be deleted

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby paul3nt » Mon Sep 19, 2011 1:11 pm

I am operating ver 11.3 Personal. When I log-on a small (minimized) report dialogue appears at the upper left corner on a completely gray background. The dialogue appears wlith X,- and "box"
symbols, but none of these work when clicked. The dialogue cannot be removed.

Otherwise FM 11.3 works ok.

How do I get rid of this nuisance ?

Hi Paul,

Can you resize this window? If you look under the top level "Windows" menu, what windows does it say you have open?
Thanks,
Mark

I get that sometimes. What I do is click on the Window tab, then Tile Down. Any of those selections should work. When I click Tile Down, it enlarges the window so you can then adjust as necessary.
Thanks,
Ernest

Mark & Ernest:

Thanks for your help. Hmm this is very strange. I downloaded ver 11.4, but the problem still remained after a close and re-open. Then I closed and a few hours re-opened FM 11.4, . . . and the problem disappeared !
No more strange minimized report dialogue !

For the record: the top-level window caption states : "Fund Mgr.mm4" . Incidentally Ernest when I hit the Window tab, I don't see any tile buttons, this is probably due to the fact that I am operating FM on Win 7 operating under Parallels (an up-dated version) under Apple Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I realize this all fairly complicated, so maybe that's why I am getting strange dialogues. Incidentally FM operates faster and easier with this set-up than under a native Win 7 system that I used to operate in the "old days" on a fast, big Dell machine.
