How to easily delete transactions multiple assets

How would I delete a date range of all transactions on investments? I can us the data register but it seems I have delete the transactions on asset at a time, a very slow process.

You cannot delete transactions from multiple investments at the same time. Can I ask what are you trying to do? Maybe there is a better solution.

I want to delete all transactions in all accounts that occurred before 12/31/2010.

In the data manager why is there not an "ALL" option in the drop down for "Investment:"?

Hi introvest,

There is no real easy way to do this, other than 1 investment at a time. You can delete multiple transactions within a given investment by selecting all of them, and choosing "Delete".

There is no specific reason why there is no "All" option. This is just not a feature as of today. You can get this listing of transactions for all investments in an Investment Transaction report, but you can't edit the transactions for "All" in the Data Register.

We could add support for an "<All Investment>" choice in the Data Register. Another option would be similar to the price deletion commands, where you could choose to delete transactions for a given date range for either one investment or all investments. Is this something you find yourself using often, or is there some particular reason why you're needing to delete all transactions prior to a certain date?
