money market accounts in sub-portfolios

Hello,
I just finished entering all purchases for my second sub-portfolio. For some reason, while the investments in this second portfolio are correct, the initial money market amount has not changed to reflect all of the redemptions.
Furthermore, the money market in the first sub-portfolio now reflects all transactions, for its own sub-portfolio and the second sub-portfolio as well. I coded the two money market accounts differently and they are being stored differently - I checked.

It sounds like you have the money market from your first sub-portfolio assigned as the default cash account in your second sub-portfolio. This is possible/allowed, although not normally the way you want it. Check the properties of the second sub-portfolio to see what you have assigned as the default cash account. Take notice of the "Show All" option here. If this is checked then your selected cash investment is from another sub-portfolio.

Yes, the box was checked, so I un-checked it.

Is there an easy way to fix it other than manually deleting extra purchases in sub-port 1 and rebuilding sub port 2 from scratch? Here's what I have right now:

sub-port 1:
overdrafted money market cash (mm01)
purchases for this sub-port and sub-port 2

sub-port 2:
unused money market cash (mm02)
purchases for this sub-port

Hi lvs,

There is not a real easy way, but I'd suggest just adding in all the buys/sells into the money market from sub-portfolio 2 that accidentally went into the wrong money market. After you've added them into this money market, delete them from the money market in sub-portfolio 1. You do not have to delete your investments, and re-enter these. Just making the changes in the cash accounts is sufficient. There is no fixed link between a purchase in an investment and the corresponding default cash account entry.
