Share Price percentage gain.

Hi

In custom reports I'm looking for a function that returns the change in a fund/share price, without considering any distributions, between selectable dates. Can you point me in the right direction, thanks.

Change in price (between)

which will return the change in share price between the starting and ending report dates.

You have, of course, answered my question perfectly. However, I should have asked: how do I display the percentage change, between dates, in share price in a custom report.

Hi SS,

There is no built-in Custom report field to show exactly this. You can get the percentage change in price that includes per-share distribution amounts with the %Gain-F fields. However, if you want the percent change without distributions you would need to write your own equation. You can do this in the Professional and Advisor versions. You would define your own field using the equation:

100.0*(End_NAV-Beg_NAV)/Beg_NAV

Hi Mark, Just just NAV change not taking into account distribution, I did get it working by custom formula 100.0*(End_NAV-Beg_NAV)/Beg_NAV, however if there is a build in function that will be optimal and faster.

Sorry, it still works as before, where %Gain-F includes distributions/share, and there isn't a dedicated field without these.
