Schwab 401K

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Am just starting to use the software but can't get the financial transactions to load for my Schwab 401K portfolio. My account uses my SSN as an user ID and doesn't list an account number - which doesn't jibe with the retrieval screen data blocks. I've tried using the SSN as an account number and leaving it blank. No luck. What am I doing wrong?

Hi MCicch,

Are you using the "Charles Schwab" or the "Schwab - The 401K Company" to retrieve? It sounds like you should use the 2nd one. If you leave the account number blank, Fund Manager's New Portfolio Wizard will give you a list of available choices once it logs into the broker. You would just need to enter the username and password. You might also check on Schwab's website for instructions on retrieving with Quicken, and then you can use those same instructions for retrieving with Fund Manager as far as what username/password/account number to use.
