UBS Financial Services portfolio retrieval

Questions about updating prices or transactions in Fund Manager

Not able to retrieve a new account from UBS. The account number on the paper statements is "RF xxxxx KA", the account number when I log in to the website is "RFxxxxx". Neither one works with the login and password that I use on their website to see my portfolio. The FM manager response is "Incorrect User Name/Password". I have double-checked the case of the password - it works on the UBS website but not in FM. Using Personal Version 12.1 in Windows XP.

Hi Jim,

That error message is being reported by Fund Manager, but that message is coming from the broker's OFX server. The account number is not used at this point, only the login username and password are required to log in. Some brokers use a different login for their OFX server as compared to their web server. Some also require you to enable this feature, before your login info will be accepted. I would suggest going to their site and looking for instructions on retrieving transactions with Quicken. Use the same steps for Fund Manager.

You are correct - I called the brokerage house and they confirmed it is a different login to use things like FM, TurboTax, Quicken etc. They have to enable the account, it generates a different login and password from the access to the website by a human.
