This dialog is available from the File / File Operations / Re-Create Default Cash Transactions... menu command.
This command will create the cash side of any already recorded transactions. This command can be helpful if you entered/imported transactions without a default cash account assigned, and later want to generate the cash side of those already entered transactions.
You can select a specific sub-portfolio to operate on. That sub-portfolio must have a default cash account assigned in order to use this command. You also specify a date range. Only transactions within this date range will have a default cash account transaction created. The only investment that gets transactions modified is the default cash account for this sub-portfolio, and only transactions within the specified date range are modified.
Optionally have this dialog remove existing transactions from your default cash account. When enabled, only transactions in the default cash account, and within the specified date range, get deleted.
The following options are available:
Portfolio: |
Select the sub-portfolio to operate on. The default cash account for this sub-portfolio will be updated. (No investments besides the default cash account are modified.) |
Date Range: |
Choose a date range to update. Only transactions within this date range will be modified. Any transactions outside this date range remain un-changed. |
Delete Existing Buys/Sells in Default Cash in Date Range |
Enable this option to remove any existing buy or sell transactions in the default cash account within the specified date range. |
Delete Existing Transfers in Default Cash in Date Range |
Enable this option to remove any existing transfer transactions in the default cash account within the specified date range. Default cash account transactions are always recorded in the cash account as buys or sells, and not transfers, so it is usually not necessary to use this option when trying to update just the default cash account transactions in a sub-portfolio. |
Delete Existing Distributions in Default Cash in Date Range |
Enable this option to remove any existing distribution transactions in the default cash account within the specified date range. Default cash account transactions are always recorded in the cash account as buys or sells, and not distributions, so it is usually not necessary to use this option when trying to update just the default cash account transactions in a sub-portfolio. |
